Community Cat Advocats is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 organization. We are the only organization in the Winchester, Virginia area that is completely focused on community cats. We are not a rescue group, although we do work with local rescue organizations.
Because of our small size, we have a great need for volunteers to help us continue our mission. For most volunteer opportunities no experience is necessary and time commitments are very flexible. We will provide training you may need to help local residents carry on TNVR. We also have many tasks that can be done remotely, so if you’re not local or not able to go out trapping, there are still many ways to be involved.
We would be thrilled if you'd be willing to volunteer even a few hours of your time a month!
Examples of volunteer needs include:
Provide holding space and care for cats before and after surgery
Transport cats to and from spay/neuter surgeries
Trap cats or assist colony caregivers with trapping
Help caregivers feed colony cats
Provide temporary help feeding colonies for caregivers who are ill or out of town.
Bottle baby feeding and care
Socializing hissy kittens
Anything else you can imagine!
