Community Cat Advocats is an all-volunteer, non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR), the only humane and effective way to stabilize and address the community cat population. We work in Winchester and Frederick County, Virginia.

Our Purpose

To provide direct intervention to improve the lives of community cats through TNVR and related activities; advocate for community cats and their caregivers within the community and with local agencies and organizations; provide educational opportunities to increase public awareness of the value of TNVR to our community; and assist in mitigating citizen concerns regarding community cats.

Our Impact

Community Cat Advocats aims to improve the lives of Community Cats in Winchester and Frederick County. In 2018 alone we carried out TNVR on 379 cats and found rescue placements for 85 cats that we encountered during our TNVR work. Since our founding, we have TNVR'd 1026 cats.

We've hosted educational seminars with the National Kitten Coalition, neighborhood associations, local animal shelters, and police departments. If you know of a group who would be interested in learning more about TNVR, please reach out!
